Our journey began when Francesco Cucinotta migrated to Australia from Sicily, Italy, in the 1950s.
Settling in the heart of the fruit and vegetable industry in Werribee South, Francesco became a market gardener, growing produce on his own farm and later selling it at the Queen Victoria Market.
Growing up around farmers and working on the farm, his son Horace decided to start his own wholesale business in 1996 called H.C. Produce.
Over 25 years later, Horace now works with his son Elliot, meaning that three generations of the Cucinotta family have supplied veg to a loyal customer base at the Melbourne Market.

Why we do what we do
We are the middle-man in the farm-to-plate process.
To put it simply, we select the best produce from farmers around the country. The produce is harvested in the morning and then delivered to our warehouse in Werribee South.
From there, it is sorted and stored in a cool room before being transported to the Melbourne Market at night.
We sell the produce within 24 hours to the likes of fruit shops, provedores, restaurants and supermarkets.
